The first day of training is designed for
the "new" or novice user. We'll emphasize the importance of
planning the benefit statement project and
take you all the way through the process
beginning with organizing data and ending
with the printing of the benefit statements. The second day of training covers the more
advanced aspects of Fringe Facts. The morning will be spent learning how to
maximize Fringe Facts Communicator calculations and the formula
builder by demonstrating common (and a few
somewhat less common) advanced functions.
During the afternoon we'll cover some of
the more advanced features of the text editor,
including importing graphics, producing pie
charts, creating title bars and boxes, etc.
What's Included?
Training tools include a 3-ring binder of
materials covered at the session(s). Of course,
floppy disks will be provided so that you
can take the work you do here home!
Reservations and Refunds
Reservations should be made at least four
weeks in advance of the scheduled training
date at which time a 50% deposit is
required
(as seating is limited). The remainder
of
the training charges must be paid in
full
at least two weeks in advance of any
session.
Full refunds will be given for cancellations
made at least 10 business days prior
to the
scheduled session. If the cancellation
is
made less than 10 working days from
the scheduled
session, the reservation can be transferred
to a different person, or a refund
of 50%
(of the total scheduled training cost)
will
be returned.
Benefit Software Inc. (BSI) reserves the
right to cancel classes if there isn't enough
participation. BSI has no responsibility
for cancellation fees for airline tickets
or hotel reservations purchased prior to
the date of our official written confirmation
notice.
Questions and Special Needs
Please call the manager of technical support
for answers to any questions or special needs
you may have. We can customize training should
you have unique needs (additional charges
will be quoted in advance). We also provide
on-site training (see the On-Site Training section below).
Note: If you are unable to attend one of
our scheduled training sessions, we may be
able to arrange for you to come to Santa
Barbara for training at a different time.
The charges for such training sessions will
be the same as the charges for on-site training,
not including any of the "travel day"
and travel expenses. Such arrangements must
be made at least a month in advance of the
desired training date.

On-site
Training At Your Facility:
Whenever possible, we will go on-site to your
facility to provide training. There are,
however, some logistical matters that need
to be considered. For this reason we have
established some basic guidelines to ensure
that you will receive the best possible training.
Here are the guidelines for on-site training:
- There should be no office disturbances or
interruptions permitted during the training
session(s). It is desirable to have the training
done in a conference room or other training
"style" room where day-to-day business
activities are not likely to occur.
- All trainees should be at the same level
of knowledge regarding benefits and the use
of computers. If this is not possible, it
will delay the training and often results
in the more advanced students becoming bored.
- All trainees must have access to their own
computer workstations with the most recent
version of Fringe Facts software (installed and operational PRIOR
to the beginning day of training).
- Printing must be available from each workstation.
- An overhead projector with screen, chalk
board, or white marking board should be available.
What's Included?
Training tools include a 3-ring binder of
materials covered at the session(s) and a
copy of the Fringe Facts manual for each student.
Reservations and Refunds
Reservations for training at your location
must be made at least six weeks in
advance of the scheduled training date at which
time a deposit of
50% of the estimated total cost
is due. Payment of the entire estimated
cost must be received at least
two weeks in advance of the scheduled
session. Refunds will be given
for cancellations made at least 15 business
days prior to the scheduled departure
date of the trainer(s). Reimbursements
will include your 50% deposit less
any non-refundable fees (such as
non-refundable airline tickets,
hotel deposits, etc.). If the cancellation
is made less than 15 working days
from the scheduled departure date,
charges will include all non-refundable
fees (such as airline tickets,
hotel reservation deposits, etc.),
customized training materials (if
applicable), and a $500 cancellation
fee. (Note: If the estimated charges
are more than the actual charges,
your company will be refunded the
difference. If the estimated charges
are less than the actual charges,
your company will be billed for
the difference.)
*Note: Benefit Software, Inc. reserves the
right to modify prices and scheduled dates
at any time. This price list/schedule replaces
all previous documentation regarding training
charges and dates.
