Benefit Software Management Team
The management team leading Benefit Software Inc. (BSI)
into the ever changing and expanding world of employee benefits communications is
comprised of highly skilled, dedicated, experienced professionals. We are focused on
establishing leadership and maintaining excellence in all areas of Employee Benefits
communications. This includes online employee benefit enrollment, outsourced
printed Total Rewards statements, and PC software systems for use by HR and
benefits professionals to produce printed Total Rewards statements in-house
and software that enables safety professionals to manage Workers' Compensation
claims.
Larry S. DuBois, President and CEO
Mr. DuBois began his career in the employee benefit industry in the mid '60s
specializing in benefit plan design and development of software systems for
retirement plan administrators and actuarial firms. In the late '70s, Larry
co-founded PENTABS; a software company that became one of the most
successful developers of pension and profit sharing administration systems in
the U.S. In 1988 Larry sold his interest in PENTABS to Corbel (Jacksonville,
FL) and acquired BSI in 1991. In 1993 Larry acquired CompWatch®.
In 1998 Larry led the company through the development of Fringe Facts® Online.
It was one of the first highly successful web-based Total Rewards and benefit
enrollment services offered in the U.S.
William Smith, Marketing and Sales Director / Finance Director
Mr. Smith joined BSI in 2001 as head of Marketing, Sales and Business Development.
Prior to joining BSI, Mr. Smith was the V.P. of Sales and Marketing at Alliance/MFG,
a MRP-II software publisher. William has published articles and has been interviewed
in several publications including WorkSpan, Employee Benefit News, Workforce and
Benefit Selling. He has also spoken to various benefits communication professional
groups regarding key communication and retention strategies. William is a
Certified Public Accountant and spent 10 years in public accounting prior to
joining Alliance/MFG.
Kimberly Rajala-Blood, Vice President Online Services & Technical Support
Ms. Rajala-Blood has been involved in employee benefit communications with BSI since
1991. Kim manages the Online Services division including Web Development and is
responsible for the production of Fringe Facts Online eEnroll and TotalComp
Online Website setup and ongoing administration. Kim has extensive experience in
technical support, customer service and project management. Kim has earned the
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management
Institute. Kim was a technical support specialist at PENTABS prior to the
acquisition of BSI and prior to that, she worked for SoftTools, a software
development firm based in Santa Barbara.
Richard Diamond, Vice President PC Development
Mr. Diamond has been developing employee benefit software products for over 30 years.
Richard was the creator of the original version of the Fringe Facts®
Online Total Compensation Benefit Statement system and has been the lead programmer
of the Fringe Facts Communicator PC application since 1991. He is also
responsible for the ongoing development of CompWatch®. Prior to joining BSI,
Richard was a systems programmer at PENTABS and specialized in the development of
programs to automate the preparation of Internal Revenue Service 5500 series forms
for qualified retirement plans.
Heather Javaheri, Manager Printed Services
Mrs. Javaheri joined BSI in 2003 and has had responsibility for the production of
personalized employee Total Rewards statements and other printed services for more
than 300 clients. As head of the Printed Services department, Heather is responsible
for the management of her team of project managers, printed statement client projects,
new product development, and Total Rewards education and training. Her team is also
responsible for the Fringe Facts Communicator training and Webinar
programs. A former UCSB graduate, she is currently studying to become a Certified
Employee Benefits Specialist through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit
Plans and the Wharton School of Business.
Kevin Davidson, Network and Systems Administrator
Mr. Davidson joined BSI in 2003 to administer the Fringe Facts eEnroll and
TotalComp Online Web servers as well as overall network infrastructure. Kevin has
been working in the field of network and systems administration for over nine years.
His specialties include the administration of UNIX and Windows based systems, network
infrastructure management and information security.
